About the role
As a Junior Backend Software Engineer at Dayra, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining our backend systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our financial services platform is robust, scalable, and efficient. Your expertise will be crucial in implementing the technical direction of our backend architecture, ensuring seamless integration with our partners, and enhancing the overall performance of our services.

- Location: Zamalek
- Work from office: Monday to Wednesday
- Work from home: Sunday and Thursday
Job Responsibilities
- Code Excellence: write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while performing code reviews to ensure quality across the board.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, potential outages, and bugs as they arise. Resolve them permanently with scalable decisions.
- Collaborate withpeer engineers on best practices, peer program challenging tasks, and assist in identifying team learning needs.
Who we’re looking for
- Requirement: Bsc. in Computer Science + 0 to 2 years experience.
- Bonus: hands-on Laravel work experience or post-graduate hands-on studies.
- Technical Expertise:
- Experience with Laravel and PHP
- Proficiency in relational databases (we use MySQL).
