About the role:


As a DevSecOps Engineer you will be responsible for implementing and managing secure, scalable, and automated software delivery solutions across cloud and on-premises environments. You will integrate development, security, and operations processes, streamline CI/CD pipelines, and ensure best practices are followed throughout the application lifecycle. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy systems that meet mission requirements and maintain strong performance and security standards.This role is contingent on contract award.

What You'll Do:


  • Implement and manage DevSecOps practices integrating development, security, and operations processes.
  • Automate and streamline CI/CD pipelines to ensure secure and efficient software delivery.
  • Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to design and deploy secure, scalable systems.
  • Monitor and maintain infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments for security, performance, and compliance.
  • Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and remediation activities.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Design, build, and maintain containerized production environments, ensuring security and compliance.
  • Implement ephemeral infrastructure patterns for hybrid cloud/on-premises environments.

What We are Looking For:


  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or related engineering roles.
  • 5 years of experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI) and pipeline automation.
  • 5 years of experience with configuration management and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid environments.
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (Python, Bash, Go, PowerShell).
  • Experience identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities within infrastructure and application delivery pipelines.
  • Familiarity with security best practices and tools (e.g., OWASP, Nessus, Splunk).
  • Experience deploying, configuring, and managing virtualized environments using Proxmox, including integration with automation and orchestration tools for secure, scalable infrastructure management

Highly Preferred: 


  • MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field

Clearance Requirements:


  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance Required

Work Type: 


  • Onsite - San Antonio, TX
  • May require up to 10% travel
