Production Overview


Frontier Technologies is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Production Worker to join our manufacturing team in Theodore, AL. This role is essential to the production of high-quality components for the energy sector, including wind turbine parts. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The Production Worker will report to the Site Manager. 

Production Worker General Responsibilities


  • Follow detailed production guidelines and specifications to ensure product quality.
  • Operate and load/unload CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform part preparation tasks such as deburring, sanding, and cleaning.
  • Assemble components and prepare products for painting and shipment.
  • Use material handling equipment to transport parts between workstations.
  • Conduct visual inspections and report any defects to quality control personnel.
  • Perform tack welds on metal subcomponents.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Accurately read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and use measurement tools.
  • Follow work instructions on the traveler.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Manager.

Qualifications


  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Must be able to read and interpret work instructions
  • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Must have basic Math skills and can accurately read/use a tape measure, and learn metric calculations.
  • Must be able to successfully interface with a computer to access manufacturing shop floor control system.
  • Must be able to identify and operated basic hand tools and small power tools.
  • Must have a passion for doing a job well.
  • Able to work overtime as needed.
  • Must be a “self-motivated” team player.

  • Able to work effectively in South Alabama climate conditions
  • Able to stand for long periods of time, crawl, squat, and climb without tiring easily
  • Able to lift 50 pounds with reasonable accommodations
  • Must pass a background check and drug test
