Finance Associate / Manager
We are seeking a highly motivated and independent individual who’s willing to work and learn in a fast-paced environment to join the CIX team. The individual will support the build of our finance and tax systems and processes, and work alongside our internal teams and external partners.The individual will report to the Financial Controller.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day finance operations for the group, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting policies, and bookkeeping functions.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly consolidated financial statements for internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit quarterly and annual tax filings, ensuring full compliance with relevant tax regulations.
- Lead the annual statutory audit and tax processes and liaise with external auditors to ensure timely and successful completion.
- Provide financial guidance to sales and operations teams, particularly on accounting and tax implications for new products, contracts, and the implementation of new accounting standards.
- Assist the Chief Operating Officer in the development, monitoring, and review of annual budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
- Conduct variance analysis on profit and loss statements and perform regular balance sheet reconciliations.
- Drive efficiency initiatives within the finance function, leading improvements in financial processes and supporting system enhancements, particularly related to project financials.
- Assist in ad-hoc finance-related projects and initiatives as required by the business.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education experience, with focus in accounting or finance (CPA)
- Experience in capital markets/audit is preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint skills
- Knowledge of local tax, accounting and reporting policies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving needs
- Experience in managing international subsidiaries
- Strong process, systems thinking and leadership qualities
- An eye for detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- A hands-on and can-do attitude
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to actively participate in meetings and be well versed on the activities and issues within business processes
