Stewardship and Communications Coordinator


Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church is a thriving and diverse parish and the largest church in the Lafayette Diocese. They are seeking a dedicated and faith-driven individual to manage and coordinate all aspects of stewardship and communications for their parish. This role is essential in fostering a culture of Christian stewardship, enhancing parish engagement, and ensuring consistent and effective communication across all platforms. This role reports to the Director of Operations and supervises another team member.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to promote a vibrant culture of Christian stewardship.
  • Plan and execute parish social events (e.g., Food Truck Festival, St. Joseph Feast).
  • Encourage and facilitate parishioner involvement in church life.
  • Develop and implement programs to welcome and integrate newcomers.
  • Lead fundraising and development efforts, including:
  • Stewardship Renewal Campaign
  • Annual and bi-annual fundraisers (e.g., Sapphire and Gold Gala)
  • Catholic Ministries Appeal
  • Planned giving initiatives
  • Coordinate all parish fundraising activities to ensure consistency and organization.
  • Design and manage a donor stewardship process.
  • Build and maintain a network of OLMC School alumni and their families.
  • Oversee all parish communications, including website, bulletin, annual reports, and other media.
  • Prepare and manage the annual stewardship budget.
  • Serve as a member of the Stewardship Council.

Qualifications:


  • Active member of the Roman Catholic parish community.
  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in fundraising or development.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Commitment to upholding Catholic Church teachings.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to Diocesan child safety protocols.

Benefits:


  • Salary range $67,000 - 72,000
