On 5 March 2025, Rio Tinto completed the acquisition of Arcadium Lithium and combined it with its Rincon asset to form Rio Tinto Lithium, establishing Rio Tinto as a global leader in the supply of energy transition materials and one of the world’s top lithium producers. 

Position Summary:


To develop and maintain training materials, ITPs and qualifications for assigned area trainees. Assist site coordinator as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Work with the site coordinator to develop and maintain documented programs.
  • Maintain operator qualification (ITPs) and associated training documents
  • Communicate weekly with crew lead or supervisor and assigned trainers on trainee’s progression
  • Discuss trainee’s progression weekly with crew lead or assigned trainer about trainee’s progression and work with site coordinator and develop action plan as needed for additional training
  • Schedule and facilitate operator gap assessments, qualification tests and re-qualifications as required
  • Provide additional methods to support trainees
  • Assist area leads and supervisors with 30/60/90 reviews
  • Track KPIs in assigned area and report to site training coordinator

Education and Experience: 


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in process manufacturing (Chemical industry preferred) 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:


  • Ability to use resources to develop training programs 
  • Uses logic and appropriate methods to successfully troubleshoot and solve difficult problems
  • Uses effective oral and written communication 
  • Uses MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc. to communicate all work instructions
  • Follows policies and procedures; work ethically and with integrity
