Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician III leads and performs complex mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance tasks in a commercial laundry facility. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing equipment, overseeing maintenance personnel, and ensuring safe and efficient plant operations with minimal supervision.Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and automated systems using schematics and manuals.
- Lead and direct maintenance staff, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion of tasks.
- Install, adjust, and maintain mechanical components, including drives, bearings, motors, shafts, and couplings.
- Operate and inspect equipment to diagnose malfunctions using sight, sound, and testing tools.
- Perform welding, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work as needed.
- Complete daily plant startup and shutdown procedures; maintain logs and work orders.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and respond to urgent equipment issues.
- Train and mentor Maintenance Technician I and II team members.
- Operate forklifts/manlifts safely and wear required PPE.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, HAZMAT, and other safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with management and assist with other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required; 6+ years of relevant maintenance experience.
- Skilled in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, welding, and carpentry systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with PLC systems and basic computer proficiency.
- Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs and performing physically demanding tasks.
- Strong leadership, communication, and safety awareness skills.
