QC Raw Materials Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented QC Raw Materials Manager to lead our Quality Control efforts related to raw materials within our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the analysis and testing of raw materials, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and managing the QC laboratory operations. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of quality assurance processes and a commitment to excellence in maintaining the integrity of our pharmaceutical products.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage raw materials quality control processes including testing, evaluation, and release of incoming materials.
  • Ensure adherence to cGMP regulations and compliance with industry standards in all QC activities related to raw materials.
  • Supervise a team of QC analysts, providing training and mentorship to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Develop, validate, and implement testing methods and procedures for raw materials to ensure reliability and accuracy.
  • Audit and assess raw material suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and manage supplier quality issues.
  • Review and approve quality control documentation such as Certificate of Analysis (CoA), test results, and laboratory records.
  • Coordinate investigations of non-conformances related to raw materials and lead root cause analysis efforts.
  • Monitor and report on raw materials quality metrics and trends, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement and production, to align quality objectives and resolve quality issues.

Requirements


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, or related field).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of raw material testing methods, material specifications, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Experience with analytical techniques and instrumentation relevant to raw material testing.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop and mentor QC staff.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, document control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
