applications. This role supports DoD contracts by identifying and resolving

systemdesign


challenges, enhancing existing systems, and leading new IT infrastructure developments. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering teams, ensuring optimal system performance and compliance with

DoDsecurityandoperational


guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Analyze business requirements and design specifications to develop secure and efficient IT systems.
  • Identify and resolve issues within existing system architectures, implementing enhancements where necessary.
  • Participate in the analysis, design, and implementation of next-generation IT systems for defense applications.
  • Evaluate commercially available IT solutions (COTS) and ensure seamless integration into DoD infrastructure.
  • Translate customer needs into technical requirements, ensuring feasibility for engineering teams.
  • Work closely with programmers, software engineers, and systems architects to maintain system integrity.
  • Provide expertise in telecommunications, programming languages, operating systems, database management, and middleware.
  • Ensure systems comply with DoD security protocols, risk management frameworks (RMF), and cybersecurity best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Secret Clearance: TS preferred.

  • Education:
  • Master’s Degree or higher with 1 year of experience OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of experience.
  • Experience:
  • 3 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree OR
  • 1 year of experience with a master’s degree or higher.

  • Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles, IT infrastructure, and secure software development.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
  • Expertise in network systems, cybersecurity frameworks, and system integration methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience with classified defense systems and DoD IT projects.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing solutions for defense applications (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government).
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and secure software engineering methodologies.
  • Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or DoD-approved systems engineering credentials.
