About the position:


RKON is actively seeking a Manager of Talent Acquisition who will act as a subject matter expert and specialize in advanced recruiting methods, system optimization, and operational efficiency. This role involves planning, organizing, and managing requisitions and maintaining relationships with hiring managers.This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department. This role is based in RKON HQ in Chicago, and you must be able to commute to the office 2x a week.

Responsibilities Include:


  • Manage and own full life cycle recruitment (post, source, prescreen, schedule, background, references, offer, onboarding, etc.).
  • Recruit full-time, part-time, temporary, and contractual (e.g. 1099) personnel across departments.
  • Complete the hiring process within defined metrics to minimize overall time-to-start.
  • Develop appropriate marketing strategies, define roles and responsibilities of hiring team, and develop service-level agreements to ensure an effective and efficient recruitment lifecycle while minimizing cost-per-hire.
  • Leverage and manage external vendor and third-party relationships (recruitment agencies or other sourcing partners) to ensure the smooth execution of recruitment strategies.
  • Develop and implement creative and innovative sourcing strategies and techniques to build a pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Maintain an environment of equal employment opportunity, diversity and competitive advantage in support of the company's diversity and inclusion strategic plan.
  • Serve as a business partner with hiring managers to develop effective sourcing and recruitment strategies that result in client satisfaction. Develop effective relationships within the organization and the hiring community to have influence and impact on the recruiting process and hiring.      

Technical and Professional Expertise


  • 5+ years of progressive in-house talent acquisition experience, preferably within the IT or professional services industry.
  • Experience recruiting in multiple discipline areas and levels, including hiring for nonexempt, exempt and leadership positions. Prior experience recruiting in the IT industry preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
  • Experience in all areas of sourcing such as the internet, social media, networking, employee referrals, job posting, as well as conducting open houses and virtual job fairs.
  • Ensure high standards of service throughout the recruitment process, focusing on delivering exceptional candidate experience.
  • Strong communications skills and ability to maintain proactive and timely communication regarding the status of recruitment efforts.
  • Offer consultative advice and industry expertise to hiring leaders, serving as the go-to expert in talent acquisition.
  • Ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally across various levels within the organization

Compensation:

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000. This is an estimated range based on the circumstances at the time of posting, however, may change based on a combination of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, education, market factors, geographical location, budget, and demand. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. As part of our total compensation package, RKON provides a benefits package that includes health insurance (medical, dental, vision, life, and long and short-term disability insurance); flexible time off; and a 401(k) Plan with employer match to qualifying employees. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
