About the Role
We’re looking for a sharp, detail-obsessed, and highly personable
Operations Associate (Contractor) to join our team and support the onboarding of clinicians in our growing healthcare marketplace. You’ll be a key player in ensuring a world-class experience for providers while identifying opportunities to streamline and scale our onboarding workflows and processes.You’ll be interfacing directly with clinicians and working cross-functionally to improve operational workflows, reduce friction, and raise the bar on every aspect of the onboarding funnel. What You’ll Do
- Serve as a primary point of contact for onboarding new clinicians, delivering a high-touch, high-quality experience.
- Execute onboarding tasks to move high-volume clinicians through Wheel’s onboarding funnel and get them onboarded to client-specific protocols, ensuring high-quality readiness of our clinician network and fast throughput to our clients.
- Identify inefficiencies or pain points in the onboarding funnel and propose operational improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (recruiting, credentialing, product, client success) to drive execution and iterate on onboarding flows.
- Track and manage key onboarding metrics, raising blockers early and pushing initiatives forward with urgency.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of operations experience at a high-growth tech company, marketplace, or tech-enabled services org.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume, detail-heavy workflows without dropping balls
- Strong written and verbal communication skills - professional, clear, and personable under pressure.
- Experience working directly with external stakeholders (e.g., customers, providers, clients).
- Operational mindset: you see the inefficiencies and instinctively want to fix them.
- High EQ and comfort interacting with clinicians in a professional, empathetic manner.
- Self-starter with excellent time management, prioritization, and follow-through.
- Experience with low-code tools required (i.e. Retool).
- Experience with SQL, PowerBI, Tableau or Looker required.
