We are seeking a highly skilled Computer System Analyst II to analyze, develop, and maintain mission-critical computer systems supporting engineering, business, and records management functions. This role involves developing automated information systems, optimizing performance, maintaining system interfaces, and ensuring seamless integration within DoD operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and develop computer systems with diverse engineering, business, and records management capabilities.
- Develop comprehensive plans for automated information systems from project inception to conclusion.
- Evaluate and optimize user interfaces, hardware and software performance, and system integration.
- Monitor workload trends, computer usage, and performance to ensure efficiency.
- Maintain interfaces with external systems, analyzing system downtimes and operational effectiveness.
- Assess proposed system modifications, upgrades, and new COTS solutions.
- Define system requirements and program specifications to guide software development.
- Coordinate closely with programmers to ensure proper implementation of system requirements.
- Work with functional users to develop alternative system solutions based on operational needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Education:
- Associate’s degree or higher OR
- 7 years of relevant experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with an associate’s degree or higher OR
- 7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in system architecture, database management, and software performance optimization.
- Expertise in system analysis, software development methodologies, and compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with classified defense systems and government contracts.
- Familiarity with DoD IT compliance standards.
- Knowledge of cloud computing, networking, and system automation tools.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, secure system design, and risk assessment.
