APM CUA 2 services the Lower Eastern North region and CUA 5 services the Logan/Olney region. 

JOB SUMMARY


The Assistant Program Director will be responsible for collecting, organizing, interpreting, and transforming multiple sources of data to assist executive leadership, management, and employees in making necessary business decisions.

Key job tasks/duties/responsibilities of the Assistant Program Director


  • Responsible for overseeing the Training & Development and Intervention components for the department.
  • Assist with overseeing some case management aspects of the department
  • Responsible for acting as a liaison and representative in the absence of the CUA Program Director 
  • Assist in planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the overall operation of the CUA Department
  • Assist with the CUA Department’s recruiting efforts
  • This position is also responsible for the onboarding of new employees and department interns
  • Manage hiring and orientation process for new staff and interns
  • Complete formal staff performance reviews and intern evaluations as required
  • Address performance issues with staff and interns
  • Provide supervision and facilitate team meetings for staff 
  • Motivate and support staff to meet programmatic goals 
  • Maintaining a high standard of care ensuring all people are treated with dignity and respect
  • Engages with partner agencies and other social service organizations to further develop our collaborative partner relationships.
  • Provide leadership as part of the upper management, participate in the development and implementation of services 
  • Review cases and lead executive case reviews
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related field and two (2) or more years of management work experience required.
  • Assists in the overall management of the department
  • Ability to communicate with people of varying backgrounds and skillsets and maintain good relationships with all employees and stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Sound judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are essential.
