Lyra Technology Group is looking for a full-time, Sr Project Technician to join the team at one of our operating companies, ITbuilder in Hartford, Cheshire. The Sr Project Technician will be joining the team to help strengthen projects team and support its success. Your work as the Sr Project Technician includes several components:
• Plan and deliver a wide variety of project work, including (but not limited to):o Server installation and migrationo On-premise server to cloud migrationo Network installationo Office relocation• Ensure all project deliverables are met on time and within budget.• Communicate with customers in person, over the phone, and by email.• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.• Record all time within our PSA software.• Maintain documentation platforms.
Our ideal Sr Project Technician has the following technical qualifications:
• Desktop operating systems, including Windows 11 and MacOS• Windows Server operating systems (Server 2016 onwards)• Active Directory• DNS, DHCP• File permissions• Group policy• Server migration and in-place upgrades• Virtualization technologies e.g. Hyper-V, VMware• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365• Exchange Online (including migration from on-premises Exchange servers)• PowerShell• SharePoint• Teams• Entra ID, MDM, Intune, Autopilot• Microsoft Azure• Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Cloud PC• Backup solutions (e.g.
Cove, Veeam)• Strong, practical knowledge of networking• Connectivity• Firewalls• VLANs• Wireless technologies• Telephony including SIP, VoIP and hosted PBX solutions• Linux-based operating systems• Web hosting platforms e.g. WordPress, Virtualmin, PHP, MySQL• Google Workspace• RMM platforms, automation and scripting• Power AutomateThe targeted base compensation for this role is $45,000-$65,000 GBP per year and will operate out of the Hartford, Cheshire office on a hybrid basis.If you're motivated by meaningful client relationships, strategic selling, and a dynamic work environment—we want to hear from you.
