Global Dimensions is seeking a Junior Special Security Technician - Physical Security for an upcoming opportunity at
Camp Humphreys, South Korea.
- Assists Special Security Officer (SSO) to ensure control of access to SCI and SCI facilities (SCIFs); certifying and receiving SCI visitor clearances / accesses; conduct SCI security briefings, indoctrinations, debriefings, training on classified material / SSO-related material and topics; obtains signed nondisclosure agreements; and provide guidance and assistance for processing SCI position and eligibility requests for assigned military, Government and contractor personnel. Other duties may include, but not limited to audits of classified material; inspections of classified material storage facilities / SCIFs / containers; and, researching and preparing classified material related policy and management recommendations, reports and recommendations.
- Conducts security inspections and site security visits; develops findings and recommendations for changes or modifications to correct or improve special security.
- Assists in developing local security guidelines.
- Assists in tracking official and nonofficial security taskers.
- Assists responsible badging custodian with the accounting of access cards and badges.
- Assists in screening and verifying employees’ authorized accesses.
- Assists in verifying badging station data elements are completed and correct before creating both collateral and SCI level security badges.
- Conducts checks on issued badges to ensure proper recovery and destruction and determine expiration, surrender or extension requirements.
- Briefs incoming personnel on security badge duties and responsibilities.
- Assists in random security checks at USFK facility entrances and work areas.
- Assists in monitoring badging and control stations for errors or alarms.
- Assists in maintaining and verifying logs of approved visitors.
- Provides physical security and access control technical guidance for collateral and SCI facilities.
- Assists in the development and implementation of physical security standards and procedures.
- Conducts in-depth physical security vulnerability assessments for the protection of classified material.
- Coordinates with access control provider to resolve system and network issues.
- Assists in the SCIF accreditation process.
- Assists in the destruction of classified information, including use of a respirator and associated fitting and testing by a medical professional may be required at contractor expense.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI + In-scope CI poly
- Minimum 3 yrs of relevant experience conducting analysis, with at least portion of experience within last 2 yrs.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area from college or university accredited by agency recognized by U.S. Dept of Education. Additional 4 yrs of relevant experience, for total of 7 yrs of relevant experience, may be substituted for Bachelor’s degree.
- New SCIF construction familiarity and experience (includes any relevant certifications + training)
- SCIF ops experience (includes any relevant certifications + training)
Preferred
- USFK experience
- Korean language capability
