Trueline is seeking a Construction Estimator to join their team in Southeast Michigan. This is a full-time, field-based role for a hands-on professional with deep knowledge of restoration work, strong estimating experience, and a sharp eye for detail. The ideal candidate will be proactive, tech-savvy, and capable of managing a dynamic workload in both residential and commercial environments.

What You’ll Do as the Construction Estimator:


  • Prepare detailed, accurate scopes of work and cost estimates for insurance-related repairs, REO/foreclosure projects, and barrier-free construction.
  • Work closely with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure estimates reflect project specifications and budget targets.
  • Leverage industry-standard software and documentation tools to create timely proposals and maintain organized records.
  • Visit job sites, assess damage or construction needs, and gather necessary information for estimate development.
  • Contribute to job costing and pricing strategies, helping ensure projects align with financial goals and client expectations.
  • Assist in meeting compliance with insurance carrier guidelines and client-specific documentation requirements.

Must-Haves as the Construction Estimator:


  • Solid knowledge of general construction practices and restoration work
  • Proven experience in estimating, budgeting, and pricing
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle a high volume of work
  • Excellent organizational skills and a sharp attention to detail
  • Comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Familiarity with insurance protocols and industry standards
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites

Nice-To-Haves as the Construction Estimator:


  • Experience with kitchen and bath renovations
  • Proficiency with Xactimate or other estimating platforms
  • Existing relationships with subcontractors
  • Knowledge of ADA/barrier-free compliance
  • College degree (preferred but not required)
