WHY YOU SHOULD APPLY
Yousician is looking for a Chief Product Officer to lead the next phase of Yousician’s product evolution, someone who can set bold vision, drive strategy, and lead with executional excellence.You’ll take full ownership of the company’s current consumer product portfolio and the design team, guiding a team of leaders across multiple squads. You’ll sit on the leadership team, reporting to the CEO, with direct accountability for driving product-led growth, user value, and strategic impact. This is a pivotal role at a company where the product is the engine, not a support function.You’ll define where the company goes next and ensure you get there.
You’ll lead from the front: shaping strategy, coaching PMs, collaborating cross-functionally, and jumping into discovery, design, or delivery when needed. You’ve done it before in the consumer space, and you're not afraid to do it again.This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of music learning for millions, at a company at the intersection of creativity, technology, and purpose.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own and evolve the product vision and strategy across the full consumer experience (currently Yousician, GuitarTuna app and GuitarTuna web) – grounded in user needs, market dynamics, and company objectives.
- Lead and grow (read: rebuild) a high-performing product org – coaching PMs, setting the bar, and creating space for autonomy and impact.
- Drive alignment at the highest level, working closely with the executive team and cross-functional leaders to connect product strategy to company goals.
- Champion a culture of discovery and experimentation, ensuring teams build the right things – and build them well.
- Stay close to the work – whether that’s joining discovery calls, digging into retention data, or sketching a new onboarding concept.
- Establish clear goals and accountability across teams using OKRs and other success frameworks.
- Scale systems, process, and practices that enable high-velocity product development without losing quality or purpose.
- Ensure a cohesive, high-quality user experience across platforms and product areas.
WHO YOU ARE
- A proven product leader with experience owning strategy, roadmap, and outcomes across consumer-facing products at scale.
- Experienced in mobile-first, B2C, or subscription models; ideally in fast-paced, product-led environments.
- A mix of visionary and operator – you see the big picture but don’t shy away from the details.
- Equally strong in customer insight and commercial acumen. You deeply understand user problems and how to build a sustainable business around solving them.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and complexity – you bring clarity, focus, and momentum.
- A natural leader and mentor. You’ve built and led product teams and know how to get the best out of people.
- Hands-on when needed. You’ve been in the trenches and know how to unblock a team, validate a concept, or move quickly when time is critical.
- Strong communicator with experience in aligning diverse stakeholders around product vision and strategy.
