Job Summary:


The Associate Vice President is responsible for supporting the organic growth of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with our financial consultants and prospective clients, with the focus on driving sales momentum across the sales organization through seamless communication. The Associate Vice President plays a crucial role supporting our Senior Vice Presidents and will work in a client-focused, team-centered environment to support Referral Sales, Channel Sales and/or Direct Sales efforts.

This role serves as a building block to Regional Vice President.

Key Responsibilities:


Schedule Meetings:


  • Coordinate and schedule meetings with prospects, clients, and internal teams.
  • Qualify and schedule Wealth Path and Custom Wealth referrals
  • Ensure timely follow-ups and confirmations.

Follow Up with Prospects:


  • Assist with lead generation and participate in Regional Sales Activities
  • Maintain regular communication with prospects to nurture relationships and move them through the sales pipeline.
  • Provide timely responses to inquiries and requests.
  • Work with prospects over Zoom, phone and/or in person

Manage the Pipeline:


  • Monitor and manage the sales pipeline to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Track progress and identify opportunities for improvement.

Manage Meeting Notes and CRM:


  • Take detailed meeting notes and update the CRM system with relevant information.
  • Ensure all client interactions and updates are accurately recorded.

Aid Local Mercer Vice Presidents and Wealth Advisors:


  • Plan case preparation
  • Assist with planning and holding wholesale events in nearby centers
  • Assist with wholesaling sales emails

Handle the Hand-Off to Onboarding:


  • Coordinate the transition of new clients from the sales process to the onboarding team.
  • Ensure a smooth and efficient hand-off to maintain client satisfaction.

Schedule Events:


  • Plan and schedule events, including client meetings, webinars, and industry conferences.
  • Manage event logistics and ensure successful execution.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of successful sales experience in the financial services industry
  • Proven experience in a sales support business development role.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast paced, high-volume sales environment
  • Series 65 or Series 66 license or on track to achieve same unless candidate holds one of the following credentials: Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Investment Consultant (CIC) 
  • CFP® (Certified Financial Planning) designation preferred.
  • Comprehensive industry and investment management knowledge
  • Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, listening and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven time management and organizational skills in high-volume, high-energy environments
  • Experience determining the needs of partners and prospects through probing questions, offering solutions and asking for the right actions.
  • Strong computer aptitude with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Flexibility to travel.

Work Schedule:

Position will include daytime and evening hours.
