To supervise the operation of assigned restaurants by implementing strategies and services which meet the needs of owners, employees and guestsPosition SummaryTo supervise the operation of assigned restaurants by implementing strategies and services which meet the needs of owners, employees and guestsKey ResponsibilitiesResponsibility #1: Supervises the operation of assigned restaurants and/or loungesCoordinates the set-up and/or closures of restaurant and lounge areas in accordance with Carlson Hotel standardsConfirms daily specials and new menu additions with the Restaurant ChefAssists in overseeing the food and beverage service provided in assigned outlet(s); coaches employees on effective service and food presentation techniquesInspects assigned restaurant(s) and lounge area(s) on an on-going basis and takes appropriate steps to ensure facilities meet or exceed hotel standards at all timesConducts daily pre-shift meetings to discuss specials, house count, reservations and new menu itemsProperly executes check control proceduresMaintains sanitary and safe work environment for guests and employeesResponsibility #2: Provides employees with the information needed to perform their job effectivelyAssists in orienting new employees to the department and hotel and provides on-the-job training on job responsibilitiesAssists in prioritizing and assigning workProvides feedback to the employee and department managers on the employees’ performance of job responsibilitiesResponsibility #3: Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson Blu experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectationsGives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest serviceListens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problemsProvides Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basisAssumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest SatisfactionPerforms other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitalityRequirements/SkillsMinimum two years restaurant experience, preferably in hospitality industryHigh school diploma requiredStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamworkAptitude to resolve conflicts with guests, supervisors and employeesKnowledge of local, state and federal liquor laws and regulationsAbility to multitask and work well under pressureBasic computer skills in Microsoft Office SuitePhysical DemandsLong hours are sometimes required, ability to work a flexible scheduleAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and push or pull up to 75 pounds occasionallyGood manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment$22-$24 per hour DOERequirement/SkillsAbility to obtain and hold Bartender’s LicenseMust be at least 18 years of ageExcellent customer service skillsSkilled in the use of techniques and strategies required to deliver training material in group and one-on-one settingsDemonstrate ability to relate to, communicate with, and motivate employees to sustain high performance and quality levelsHighly organized - demonstrate ability to proactively prioritize needs, put first things first, and effectively manage resources and timePhysical DemandsAbility to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basisAble to setup and take down tables, chairs, stages, and other banquet meeting fixturesAbility to push and pull carts weighing up to 200 poundsAbility to stand for extended periods of timeOther InformationThe hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
