Position Title: Quality Assurance – CMM Quality Inspector (3rd Shift)
Location: Onsite – Troy, OHSchedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 PM to 6:00 AMEmployment Type: Direct HireBackground Check/Drug Screen: RequiredAbout the RoleA growing aerospace manufacturing facility in Troy, OH is urgently seeking a CMM Quality Inspector to join their night shift team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring dimensional accuracy and product quality during off-hours production. You’ll perform detailed inspections using advanced metrology tools and CMM equipment in a fast-paced but supportive environment.This is a great opportunity for a precision-driven professional who enjoys working independently while maintaining high standards of quality control.Key Responsibilities
- Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) with PC-DMIS software
- Perform 1st piece, in-process, and final inspections
- Interpret engineering drawings with strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Use inspection tools including OD Micrometers, Comparators, Pitch Micrometers, and Depth Micrometers
- Inspect for and measure circular runout, total runout, and cylindricity
- Record precise inspection results and maintain documentation
- Work independently while coordinating with day shift QA as needed
QualificationsRequired:
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating a CMM (PC-DMIS strongly preferred)
- Solid understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation
- Proficient with precision instruments: OD Mics, Pitch Mics, Depth Mics, Comparators, etc.
- Experience inspecting complex components with tight tolerances
- Reliable and self-motivated with good communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience using Sheffield and Brown & Sharpe CMM machines
- Stable work history with a strong focus on quality and detail
- Ability to thrive in a high-output manufacturing environment
