We are currently recruiting a primary care physician to join our practice in Steele Creek - a neighborhood in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Living in Steele Creek offers residents a dense suburban feel, with a lot of parks, many families and young professionals as your neighbors.
Responsibilities:
- The ideal candidate will be comfortable practicing autonomously and independently, as this role requires a high level of self-sufficiency
- The physician will be responsible for managing a patient load of approximately 20 to 25 patients per day after an initial ramp-up period.
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based primary care services to patients in an outpatient setting
- Collaborate with other healthcare professional to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and chronic diseases and conditions. Also immunizing patients against preventable diseases.
- Prescribing or administering medication, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
- Explaining procedures, care plans test results or prescribed treatments with patients (and their family).
- Monitoring patients' conditions and progress, and re-evaluating treatments, as necessary.
- Providing health and wellness advice to patients, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Maintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests, and/or treatments prescribed, and test results. We use Athena!
- Referring patients to other medical specialists, when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted medical license or willing to obtain a medical license in state of North Carolina
- Graduate of accredited MD or DO program of accredited university
- Board Certification or Eligible to become certified (ABMS or AOA) in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine
- Fully engaged in the concept of “Integrated team-based care” model
