Join our team as a Quality Inspector!
This role has a five day/week on-site expectation.Open Shifts available: 1st shift 7am - 3pm 2nd shift 3pm - 11pmThe Quality Inspector I is responsible to ensure product quality by completing first piece, in-process, and final product inspection while maintaining a record of all inspection data.
What you will do
- Read customer print to work order.
- Read customer prints and associated job documentation and ensure all requirements are met. This includes but is not limited to basic dimensions, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, surface finish, material type, and plating/finish requirements.
- Record and archive inspection results.
- Write up parts requiring reworks or remakes via non-conformance reports and route them to the proper operations.
- Complete first article inspection (FAI) reports when required by the customers.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following all plant rules.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in the workplace and ensure all tools are properly stored and accounted for when not in use.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
What it takes
- Ability to follow a procedure and understand limitations.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to comprehend and follow printed and computer-screen instructions and direction from supervisors or technical leads.
- Proficiency with basic measurement tools such as calipers, pin gauges, thread gauges, micrometers, etc.
- Ability to read machine gages and indicators.
- Ability to use a computer, calculator and do basic arithmetic

$18.08 - $24.42 an hourProtolabs offers a competitive total rewards package, and compensation mix vary based on position, such as base wage, as well as other earnings including incentives and commissions.
