JOB SUMMARY: To promote the mission of PATH to help individuals achieve a more independent and fulfilling life by being an effective team member and ensuring the properties are maintained to present a safe, welcoming environment to live, work and receive services.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS:     Must be physically able to lift and move items as necessary at least 50 pounds.

High School Diploma or GED. Maintenance and Housekeeping Experience at a commercial and residential facilities.

SPECIFIC DUTIES


:


Corporate Sites:


  • General Cleaning:
  • Clean and disinfect office spaces, conference rooms, and shared areas.
  • Dust and wipe down equipment, including screens, remotes, and projectors.
  • Reorganize furniture to the standard layout. 
  • Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, counters, shelves and furniture.
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors daily. Spot-clean entryways and lobbies throughout the day to address heavy foot traffic.
  • Organize and straighten up shared office items (i.e. chairs, desks).
  • Restroom Maintenance:
  • Sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies (soap, paper towels, and tissue).
  • Ensure restrooms are fully stocked and in clean, operable condition at all times.
  • Clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, sinks, and countertops.
  • Polish mirrors and chrome fixtures.
  • Mop restroom floors with disinfectant and ensure they are dry to prevent slipping.

  • Breakrooms and Kitchens
  • Clean countertops, sinks, and tabletops.
  • Wipe down appliances, including microwaves, refrigerators, and coffee machines.
  • On a rotational schedule clean inside appliances and dispose of expired or no longer working content
  • Empty trash cans and replace liners.
  • Sweep and mop floors to remove food or drink spills
  • Reception and Lobby Areas
  • Dust and clean furniture, decorative items, and reception desks.
  • Vacuum or mop floors to maintain a welcoming appearance.
  • Clean glass doors, partitions, and windows to remove fingerprints and smudges.
  • Waste Management:

  • Collect trash and recycling from individual offices, meeting rooms, and common areas.
  • Empty trash and recycling bins and transport them to designated disposal areas.
  • Replace liners and clean trash receptacles as needed.

  • Special Tasks:

  • Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or restocking janitorial supplies.
  • Support event setups or breakdowns, including arranging tables and chairs.
  • Clean outdoor areas near entrances, including walkways or steps.
  • Perform a walk-through of the site to identify priority cleaning areas. 
  • Maintain records of cleaning schedules and tasks completed.
  • From time to time support facilities within the FMX ticketing software to address custodial issues.

  • Health and Safety:
  • Follow cleaning protocols to maintain compliance with workplace hygiene standards and safety protocols.
  • Identify and report potential hazards, such as spills or equipment malfunctions. 
  • Ensure familiarity with emergency exits and protocols for fire alarms, power outages, or flooding.
  • Ensure cleaning materials will be safely stored in a locked area with their original label on the product when not in use

  • Residential Sites:


    1.  Common Areas:


  • Provide deep cleaning and emergency support to Residential Sites, case by case.

  • Deep-clean vacant units to prepare for new tenants.

    Life at PATH (People Acting To Help)

    Our roots can be traced back to 1973 when PATH was incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation. This came about from the efforts of a group of dedicated community members, many of whom had family members in need of services, which were scarce to non-existent at the time. They worked tirelessly with a group of caring professionals to form PATH and to secure funding in order to provide much needed services to the citizens of Northeast Philadelphia. This tradition of the involvement of dedicated and compassionate community members continues today through our volunteer Board of Directors who are all residents of Northeast Philadelphia. The Board of Directors, which is largely composed of family members of individuals who participate in our programs, continues to strongly advocate for the needs of the community. Over the years, our community has expanded to include individuals throughout the city of Philadelphia and in surrounding counties through our Specialized Russian services Starting with a staff of 14 in rented office space providing only information and referral services, PATH has significantly expanded its programs as we currently serve over 3,000 individuals annually in our various Behavioral Health Programs, which include both Mental Health and Substance Use Treatment, as well as in our Intellectual Disabilities programs. With over 500 competent and considerate staff members, we are able to provide a wide array of quality services to meet individuals' needs. Our facilities include our main campus at 8220 Castor Avenue, 4 satellite locations, and over 70 homes in the community where we provide residential supports to enable individuals to remain living in the community. We also provide school based services in numerous Philadelphia schools. We have remained true to our mission of helping individuals achieve a more independent and fulfilling life.
