Title – LDAR Field Supervisor


Location – South Texas- Carrizo Springs, Dilley, Three Rivers


Overview:


The LDAR (Leak Detection and Repair) Supervisor is responsible for oversight and leadership role of LDAR staff, field activities, and survey data in South Texas (Eagle Ford) and North Texas (Barnett). This role combines fieldwork with office-based responsibilities, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, managing repair operations, analyzing data, identifying trends, optimizing workflows, and interfacing with Environmental and Operations staff. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in oil and gas facility repairs and a strong ability to manage field and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:


Field Responsibilities: 

Conduct and supervise leak detection inspections and emission quantification measurements using advanced monitoring and quantification equipment (e.g., Q-FLIR, EcoFlow, Hi-Flow Sampler)
  • Oversee and coordinate repair activities for identified leaks, ensuring timely and effective workflow completions
  • Verify compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, TCEQ, or other relevant standards)
  • Periodic travel to North Texas to assist with LDAR, quantification projects, and as a field Supervisor
  • Train and mentor field technicians on proper LDAR procedures, safety protocols, and equipment use
  • Perform quality assurance checks on field data collection and repair documentation
  • Lead field staff during equipment inventory or special emission-related projects

Office Responsibilities: 

Analyze LDAR data in Validere to identify leak trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for workflow improvement
  • Develop and manage workflows to streamline leak detection, repair scheduling, and repair verifications
  • Collaborate with Operations and Production teams to review trends, collaborate on emission reductions, and preventive maintenance strategies
  • Assure accurate records of inspections, repairs, and compliance activities Validere
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to management on program performance

Qualifications:


  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in oil and gas production facilities, with at least 3 years focused on LDAR programs or equipment repairs
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with LDAR monitoring equipment
  • Strong understanding of oil and gas operations equipment
  • Familiarity with LDAR software and applications (e.g., Validere, KPA) for data management and reporting
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., OOOOab, GHG, or state-specific LDAR regulations)
  • Proficiency with online dashboards, Microsoft Office products
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data sets, identify trends, and propose actionable solutions
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and train field teams, manage workflows, and coordinate with Production and Operations teams
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration, training, and stakeholder engagement
  • Certifications: OGI Thermographer certification preferred
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in outdoor environments, including exposure to extreme weather, and perform fieldwork as needed.

Education:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in instrumentation, environmental science, or related field preferred

Work Environment


  • Split Role: Approximately 50% fieldwork and 50% office-based work
  • Travel: Periodic travel to North Texas Barnett field required
  • Schedule: Full-time, with flexibility to accommodate field and office demands
