JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician
REPORTS TO: Plant Manager
Department: MaintenanceFLSA Status: Non-Exempt Prepared By: Tammy Almeter Prepared Date: 8/15/24Start Pay range: $25-$35
SUMMARY
The Electronics Maintenance Tech is responsible for programming, set-up, installation, trouble-shooting, and repair of robotics and electronically controlled manufacturing equipment. Duties include but are not limited to programming of servo’s and steppers, and a knowledge of hydraulics is highly desirable.
TASKS
- Assembling, installing, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronically controlled manufacturing systems
- Ensuring all power and manual tools are operated in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Providing training and supervision for new technicians and apprentices
- Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing the equipment
- Performing equipment demonstrations and drawing up training manuals whenever required
- Interpreting drawings, training manuals, and instructions in order to perform duties
- Light machining including making tools and fixtures
- Following written, verbal instructions
- Attending training workshops as necessary
- Performs other related duties, as required

- Extremely proficient with electronic components and systems
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervision responsibilities.
Required Education and Experience
- Associate degree or other post-secondary training in engineering technology or Technical/Trade school
- At least five years of related experience with a high degree of professional accountability

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particulate; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is mildly noisy.
