We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power Electronics Engineer to lead our power electronics design and development initiatives.
Position Overview:
As a Power Electronics Engineer at Infinitum, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of power electronics systems. This role demands a deep understanding of power conversion technologies, a track record of successful product development, and the ability to work with a team of engineers to deliver high-performance solutions.
Responsibilities:
Power Electronics Design:
Design and develop advanced power electronics systems, including converters, inverters, and power supplies, from concept to production. Emphasis on Variable Frequency Drive development and Active Front Ends.
System Optimization:
Optimize power electronics systems for efficiency, reliability, and performance. Conduct thorough analysis and simulations to validate designs.
New Technology Evaluation:
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in power electronics. Evaluate and integrate new technologies that enhance product performance.
Prototyping and Testing:
Oversee the prototyping and testing of power electronics systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other system components.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure that power electronics designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations. Work closely with certification engineering team for certifications as needed.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to integrate power electronics solutions into overall product architectures.
Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports. Ensure that documentation meets company standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in power electronics design.
- Strong knowledge of power semiconductor devices, magnetics, and thermal management.
- Proficiency in simulation tools such as PLECS, SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar.
- Proficiency with Schematic Capture using Altium.
- Experience with PCB layout and design tools.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
