We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient individual to join our team as a Technical Support Specialist. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the seamless operation of our Evanston office and supporting employees in various locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, incident tracking, PC builds, and training on connectivity software in a Windows environment.
We'll Trust you to:
- Monitor and track incidents to provide quality and timely technical support to our employees across different locations.
- Provide routine support for end users with IT-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Answer, evaluate, and prioritize incoming ticket requests for IT service in a professional, courteous manner.
- Troubleshoot and repair computer systems and peripheral equipment.
- Perform basic computer hardware and software installations.
- Train users on connectivity software.
- Monitor and maintain backup & replication jobs and file recovery as needed.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system health; adjust volumes and VMs as needed.
- Appropriately escalate unsolved issues to the appropriate internal team
- Assist with infrastructure enhancements such as software & hardware upgrades, performance tuning, etc.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
You'll need to have:
- Associate's / Bachelor's degree in a technical-related field or equivalent work experience.
- Familiarity with Active Directory and Windows security/administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, and/or Security+ certification preferred.

- Physical / Virtual Server environments (ESXi / VMware)
- Storage area networks (PowerStore/PowerScale)
- Backup / Disaster Recovery (PPDM, DataDomain or equivalent)
- Ticketing system (KACE 1000)
- Windows Imaging/Scripting (K2000)
- Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10/Servers)
- Office products including Office365
- Networking component/experience preferred (Switches, Appliances, Firewalls)
