Position Summary:
The Manager - FP&A has a key role in supporting the drive towards the strategic vision of the business. This role will partner and collaborate cross-functionally to identify, quantify, and qualify market opportunities. The Manager - FP&A impacts decision making at the highest levels of our company. This role requires strong communication skills, an analytical mindset, and a desire to pursue development by taking on new challenges. The overall job leads the analysis that supports our long-term strategy, strategic initiatives, and planning.
Partnering with leadership, this role will develop solutions and pricing that deliver against Collegis’ financial and strategic objectives. This role will also be responsible for oversight and reporting of a portfolio of existing Client accounts, ensuring accuracy and driving profitability.
Primary Responsibilities, Essential Functions and Requirements:
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive development and refinement of standardized models related to budgeting, forecasting, strategic initiatives, and acquisition targets in a finance-dominant organization.
- Participate in due diligence processes and deal structuring to ensure alignment with financial objectives.
- Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyzes, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Assist with the preparation and consolidation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Ad hoc projects, as applicable, for partner and operational analysis, new project initiatives and integration efforts
- Serve as the primary point of contact for financial matters related to portfolio of client accounts, maintaining regular communications, and building strong relationships with the cross-functional teams.
- Monitor and analyze client financial performance, identifying and communicating opportunities for improvement with the larger team.
- Financial modeling for various “what if” scenarios to determine the overall impact to the company
- Adhere to the appropriate information security policies based on the sensitivity of company data and report any security related issues.
Requirements
Experience and Qualifications:
- 2+ years in a senior analyst role demonstrating strong modeling and Excel skills
- Strong problem-solving skills, business modeling, quantitative data skills, and ability to translate data into a compelling model and understand outputs
- Maturity, professionalism, and high level of discretion are required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to tell a compelling story with data, with experience summarizing analysis and preparing presentation materials for executive leaders
- Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and contribute to special projects as they arise.
- Flexible, adaptable, and forward-thinking individual.
- High degree of achievement drive and interest in helping to drive strategic initiatives and change across an organization.
- Strong presence with the ability to interact with Senior Leadership
Education, Certifications and Licensures:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; MBA or graduate degree in Management, Business, or Finance a plus.
Remote/Hybrid Policy:
This role offers the flexibility of a fully remote environment. However, in alignment with our commitment to collaboration and team engagement, candidates within a 60-mile radius of our Chicago, IL headquarters will be expected to follow a hybrid schedule, working onsite 1-2 days per week to support in-person connection and cross-functional partnership.
