In this role, you will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of digital assets, from ingestion and metadata tagging to permissions, and user access. You’ll collaborate closely with clients, archivists, and internal teams to streamline digital workflows, and ensure brand consistency across platforms. If your someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail driven environment, we’d love to hear from you!RESPONSBILITIES· Manager Digital Asset Management (DAM) processes including initial configuration, groups and permissions, portal creating, advance properties, digital migrations, and metadata entry.· Design and implement custom workflows tailored to client needs, including the creation of metadata fields, controlled vocabularies, embedded metadata mapping, attribute profiles, download approval processes, watermarks, and automated tasks.· Identify bugs in software and create support tickets, and work with support to resolve issues.· Create custom CMS pages based on client needs.· Manage collection development process to capture born digital content from emails, press releases, web articles, and other digital repositories.· Implement regular process reviews to ensure metadata accuracy and support consistent, efficient searchability and asset delivery across platforms.· Monitor and track site usage including both internal and external audiences to identify trends for strategic engagement.· Stay up to date on new trends and technology in the DAM industry.
Requirements
· Master’s degree in History, with archival experience, MLIS with Cataloging and/or Archives Specialization, or Master of Heritage Preservation, or similar post-secondary degree is required.· A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Digital Asset Management.· 3-5 years of experience in project management, technology-related implementations, and/or strategic planning roles.· Possess a strong technical foundation in one or more of the following areas: digital asset management systems, database management, UX/UI design, rich media file formats (image, audio, video), and/or server-side functionality.· Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work with diverse teams.· Ability to work independently and efficiently within tight deadlines, while remaining composed under pressure.· Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to excellence.· Adaptability to changing technologies and trends in the DAM industry.· Demonstrated expertise in applying metadata standards, including IPTC, EXIF, XMP, and XML, to ensure accurate tagging, interoperability, and long-term asset management.· Coding experience: XML, HTLM, CSS, Command Line is preferred.· Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud Products, Excel, file conversions, and transcoding is preferred.· Ability to perform demos and remote training sessions with clients is preferred.
