We're looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you'll drive the development of services that help customers unlock the full potential of our infrastructure and enhance their products through advanced AI capabilities.

Note: this role is in-office and you must be based in or willing to relocate to the Greater Seattle Area or the San Francisco Bay Area to apply.
What You’ll Do
- Define and lead architecture for critical systems that support advanced AI workloads at scale
- Set engineering direction and influence technical strategy for the engineering team
- Mentor other engineers and review designs, contributing to a high-bar engineering culture
- Identify and tackle large-scale infrastructure problems that span multiple services or teams
- Lead cross-functional initiatives across hardware, infrastructure, and platform teams to deliver cohesive solutions
- Contribute to a high-performance engineering culture rooted in ownership and simplicity
Who You Are
- 8+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production-grade software systems
- Strong coding skills in one or more programming languages (e.g., Rust, Go, Python)
- You drive clarity in ambiguous problem spaces and influence decision-making at the org level
- You’ve successfully led architecture for complex systems or products at scale
- You collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners to align technical execution with product goals
- You hold a high bar for code quality, performance, and operational excellence, and help others meet it
Ideal Experiences
- Experience running or integrating with GPU infrastructure, AI/ML workloads, or distributed compute systems
- Successfully scaled infrastructure to support rapid product growth
- Deep experience in performance optimization, resource scheduling, or multi-tenant infrastructure
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, containerized environments, or orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
- Experience with AWS or other major cloud providers
- Prior experience in fast-moving environments or a high-stakes infrastructure team
