IT Program Manager
Location: DMV area
Required: US Citizen/ Permanent Resident
- Role: Single point of contact for the State; oversee and direct all IT project resources.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily project activities.
- Identify and mitigate issues/risks.
- Facilitate discussions/meetings (State & Contractor).
- Ensure project scope, requirements, timeline, and budget are met.
- Define project plans: critical paths, tasks, dates, testing, acceptance.
- Apply State SDLC standards.
- Improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitor issues and provide status reports.
- Document project management artifacts.
Requirements
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related).
- PMP Certification.
- Experience:
- 10+ years in project management (general).
- 8+ years managing complex IT development projects.
- Leadership on 3+ organizational change projects.
- 5+ years using PMI's PMBoK methodologies.
