Our tools enhance the safety, reliability, and efficiency of critical infrastructure and the field techs, engineers, and analysts that operate them.We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Software Manager to lead our mobile application development team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the technical design, development, and delivery of high-quality mobile applications using .NET MAUI, ensuring that our solutions meet business goals and customer expectations.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in mobile development, proven leadership skills, and experience delivering products in an Agile Scrum environment with developers located in multiple global time zones.
Requirements
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of mobile application developers, fostering technical excellence, accountability, and professional growth.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle for mobile applications, from planning and design through development, testing, release, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA to define and refine requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee and continuously improve release processes, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality applications.
- Ensure coding best practices, code reviews, and testing standards are consistently applied across the team.
- Monitor application performance, stability, and usability post-deployment, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
- Champion Agile methodologies; facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks and issues; provide hands-on support in solving complex development challenges.
- Drive adoption of modern mobile development tools, DevOps practices, and MAUI-specific performance optimizations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in mobile application development, including 2+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Expertise in .NET MAUI and cross-platform mobile development (iOS and Android).
- Proven track record of managing successful mobile app releases in a production environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile Scrum practices, including backlog grooming, velocity tracking, and iterative delivery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-first mindset.
- Experience integrating mobile apps with cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS).
- Familiarity with mobile CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Background in Xamarin.Forms or transitioning teams from Xamarin to MAUI.
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
