Nexamp is looking to hire a Vendor Relationship Manager to join its Customer Experience team. We are looking for a passionate and proactive person to be responsible for building and sustaining strong, strategic partnerships with vendors to ensure the effective delivery of products and services. Your role will encompass oversight of overall program performance including workforce management (WFM) metrics, quality assurance (QA), and content accuracy while actively monitoring vendor effectiveness and collaborating with internal teams to achieve organizational objectives.
The Vendor Relationship Manager plays a key role in aligning vendor capabilities with the company’s strategic goals to maximize value and performance.We are accepting candidates across our hub offices of Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, and Washington, DC, where you will be hybrid. You will report to the Director, Customer Experience & Retention.
What you’ll do:
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all aspects of the relationship, including contractual obligations, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all vendor-related matters, addressing concerns and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Oversee vendor performance with accountability for key contact center metrics such as cost, service level agreements (SLAs), average handle time (AHT), customer satisfaction (CSAT), and quality benchmarks.
- Deliver regular performance updates to internal stakeholders, highlighting challenges, opportunities, and key insights through weekly, monthly, and other business review forums (WBR, MBR).
- Collaborate with workforce management teams to develop and negotiate capacity plans that align with evolving business needs.
- Manage contract renewals and amendments, ensuring all agreements remain current and accurately reflect organizational requirements.
- Lead regular calibration sessions with vendors to ensure consistency in quality standards, processes, and performance expectations.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks within vendor relationships, including potential workforce disruptions or operational inefficiencies.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of vendor spend to identify cost-saving opportunities while upholding high-quality service delivery.
What you’ll bring:
- BA/BS degree in business,management or equivalent professional experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in vendor managementor a related field, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex vendor relationships, oversee billing and spend, conduct performance evaluations, and foster strategic partnerships.
- Established understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs), objectives and key results (OKRs), quality assurance frameworks, and content development best practices.
- Proven expertise in contract management, with strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and ensure compliance.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities to cultivate and sustain productive vendor relationships.
- Strong analytical capabilities to evaluate vendor performance data and identify opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement.
- Proficient in relevant software tools, including Salesforce, vendor management platforms, and the Microsoft Office Suite.

- Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.

- Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry.

Compensation
The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Nexamp ranges from $85,000 - $100,000. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual bonus programs based on individual and company performance, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans). Additionally, you may be eligible to participate in the Company’s stock option plan. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but is not limited to, skills and qualifications, internal equity, performance, and geographic location.Nexamp's People team manages all aspects of recruitment and hiring within our organization.
