Join us for an exciting internship where you won’t just observe — you’ll dive in.
From day one, you'll work alongside a dynamic and diverse team, learning industry-standard project management tools and actively participating in real team activities! You'll explore how our teams operate, map key processes, and analyse the metrics that drive performance. As you grow, you'll help build a live metrics dashboard, contribute to a quarterly report, and deliver insights that will shape how we work. Curious, analytical, and ready to learn? We’re looking for you.Primary responsibilities:Uphold's Summer Internship provides you with a first experience in the job market.
It’s designed for students and recent graduates to give you insight into Uphold and how we work — our processes, our people, and our dynamics.As a Summer intern at Uphold, you will join our Delivery team and:
- Participate in a structured onboarding process to understand Uphold’s culture, team structure, and operational workflows.
- Gain hands-on experience with key tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Roadmunk to support project tracking and documentation.
- Assist in mapping internal processes and identifying how performance metrics are tracked across teams.
- Conduct informal interviews with team members to gather insights on workflows, tools, and metrics.
- Attend and actively engage in team meetings, including daily stand-ups, planning sessions, and retrospectives.
- Document and analyze existing team practices, highlighting opportunities for improvement or standardisation.
- Contribute to the creation and refinement of a centralised metrics dashboard using insights gathered during the internship.
- Support the preparation of a quarterly team performance report using data-driven findings.
- Present internship outcomes and recommendations to the team in a final presentation.
This is what the Summer internship looks like:
- 8-week program: July 14 to September 5, 2025.
- Work setup: Based in Braga or Porto, with remote and hybrid options available.

- Mentor: A mentor will guide your work and provide ongoing feedback.
- Buddy: A buddy will help you settle in and support you along the way.
- Equipment: We’ll provide a laptop for the duration of your internship.
- Compensation: Successfully completing the internship makes you eligible for up to €2,500!
- Future opportunities: This is a short-term internship, but great work tends to get noticed!
Required qualifications:
- Ongoing Academic studies or a Degree, preferred in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field. Namely, engineering and management of information systems and engineering project management.
- Strong interest in software development processes, team operations, or technical project management.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Solid communication skills, both oral and written.
- Fluent written and oral English skills.
Bonus if you have:
- Interest in cryptocurrencies or other digital assets as they are core to our business.
- Experience with or exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Prior experience (even academic or volunteer) analysing workflows or working on technical team projects.
- Interest in data analysis, metrics, or dashboard/report creation
- Curiosity about cross-team collaboration in tech environments.
- Community talks, certifications, and/or blog posts on your interests and research.
