Position OverviewThe Sr. Manager, Demand Planning, is responsible for maintaining a rolling forecast by SKU for the assigned Accounts owning the demand plan. S/he will also act as owner and subject matter expert for Blue Ridge Demand Planning and Forecasting. The role reports to the VP, Integrated Business, Planning.
- Act as subject matter expert for demand planning processes in Blue Ridge Demand Planning, including standard work, documentation and enhancements.
- Scope, design and implement updates to Blue Ridge Demand Planning design as business and supply chain footprint evolve.
- Partner with Account Leads within each Sales Channel to understand product demands (promotions, marketing events, historical sales, door changes, etc.).
- Provide trends, forecast misses and other intelligence to help inform Account Leads within each Sales Channel during Monthly Demand Review.
- Support new product launches and account initiatives by analyzing budget/sales inputs and providing Demand Planning recommendation.
- Support Supply Planning and Distribution with forecasts to drive production, distribution requirements and capacity analysis.
Essential Job Functions
- Review and maintain integrity of Blue Ridge Demand Planning module and present business case for future enhancements.
- Own the demand plan for the assigned Account/Sales Channel
- Conduct monthly Demand Review with assigned Accounts/Sales Channel, gaining a deep and thorough understanding of new product launches, discontinuations, door openings/expansions/closures and other leading indicators in preparing the forecast.
- Maintain SKU, product and category performance metrics, identifying and applying trend impact to the Sales Channel/Account forecast. Identify lagging indicators, exception items, and track assumptions underlying forecast to deliver a Demand Planning forward forecast recommendation for Monthly Demand Review with assigned Accounts/Sales Channel.
- Prepare data as required within monthly S&OP cycle.
- Support and Lead each Demand Planning with ability to tactically execute at all levels of tasks
- With inputs from Demand Planning, Managers and ownership of identified Accounts within each Channel, maintain top line knowledge of each Channel and total company
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years Demand Planning in high SKU CPG environment. Cosmetic industry helpful.
- 2+ years working in S&OP activities.
- 2+ years demand planning system (Blue Ridge, Logility, JDA, etc.) required.
- 2+ ERP experience required.
- Excel experience.
- Experience and understanding of drivers that impact demand/supply.
- Experience with inventory principles (safety/cycle stock, retail replenishment, inventory turns, weeks of coverage etc.).
- Communication skills that demonstrate the ability to work with others collaboratively.
- Some experience with analytical, presentation, and writing skills.
- Proven leadership skills in a highly collaborative environment

The starting base salary range for this position in the selected city is $125,000.00-$135,000.00 yearly. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and geographical location.
Base pay is one part of the total compensation package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role is bonus eligible.
