We’re a fast-growing team of 50+ employees, composed of innovative and engaged individuals working collaboratively to deliver a unique digital home buying experience.The RoleWe're looking for an intermediate Platform Developer (aka Platform Engineer) to join our dynamic and motivated team.

As a member of the Platform team, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining the core infrastructure and tools that power software development and deployment across the organization. Our team’s mission is to empower developers by delivering robust, reusable, self-service systems that streamline the process of building, deploying, and scaling applications with speed and reliability.Primary responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure – Design, build and deploy AWS infrastructure using Terraform infrastructure-as-code
  • CI/CD – Build and optimize GitHub Actions workflows for automated testing and deployment
  • Observability – Configure and manage Datadog, including dashboards, monitoring, logging, tracing and incident management

Additional responsibilities:

  • Continuously improve platform reliability, scalability and maintainability
  • Collaborate with and support other development teams
  • Define and promote internal standards and best practices
  • Design and deliver secure solutions
  • Contribute to compliance & security policies, implementation and audits
  • Write documentation and contribute to internal knowledge sharing
  • Develop scripts and tools to automate cloud operations and tasks (Python, Bash, etc.)
  • Improve cost efficiency through innovative technology and purposeful solutions

What we expect from you:

  • A degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience with relevant certifications and hands-on development
  • 2+ years of professional experience as a Platform Engineer or Software Developer
  • Experience in some combination of the following:
  • Building AWS infrastructure including RDS, S3, Fargate, EC2, Lambda or VPCs
  • Infrastructure-as-code using Terraform (or comparable)
  • CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions (or comparable)
  • Containerization using Docker

Additional experience that would be beneficial:

  • Experience developing software in Node.js, Ruby, or Python
  • Power user of Datadog or GitHub

You must be a current Canadian resident to be considered for this role. A candidate selected for this position must pass a criminal background check.Lendesk is committed to offering competitive salaries to all our team members. This role has a salary range of $90,000 - $130,000 CAD which accounts for the skills you’ll bring to the team, the impact you’ll have on the business, and the growth you’ll experience in the role.
