About the job:
FS Investments is seeking an Analyst, Staff Accountant with a focus on Treasury. The ideal candidate should be detail oriented, a team player, and capable of prioritizing and multitasking competing assignments in a fast-paced environment. This role will report directly to the Senior Treasury Accountant.
The successful candidate is expected to:
- Perform daily, monthly and quarterly treasury responsibilities to remain in compliance with banks and auditors
- Review and approve outgoing wires for multiple entities and vendors
- Verify wire instructions for various vendors, general and limited partners
- Deposit checks (remotely)
- Allocate and track invoices paid by the funds
- Assist in preparing tax forms for the funds (i.e., W9s and W8s)
- Assist with the quarterly compliance process with the Funds’ lenders
- Effectively communicate with multiple parties including other members of the finance team, external auditors, internal counsel, fund administrators, bankers, and tax accountants
- Possess time management skills to address questions and ad hoc requests as they arise
- Help streamline current tasks and have a willingness to improve documentation for process improvements
- Wire resolution escalation (wires caught in fraud/providing fed refs for high priority payments)
- Accounts payable function of reconciling invoices paid and tracking the fed refs
- Participate in line of Credit compliance reporting
- Maintaining tax information and bank account information for each entity in Dealcloud
- Responsible for all bank KYC on bank accounts (this includes the GP bank accounts as well). With over 400 fund and GP bank accounts across 5 banks we are in a constant state of KYC review
Qualifications:
- 0-3 years of work experience
- Possess a B.S. in Accounting or Finance
- Good understanding of treasury function
- Must have strong attention to detail and ability to solve problems
- Financial services experience preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office and analytical skills
- Must be able to multi-task and be willing to be hands-on
- Must possess ability to meet deadlines
