Cleared Linux System Administrator

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Linux System Administrator to support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems in a dynamic mission environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in managing IT infrastructure and a strong background in Linux system administration, along with familiarity in modern tools like Docker, Kubernetes, vSphere, and Ansible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, manage, and maintain Linux and UNIX-based systems
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems
- Perform daily system monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of hardware and server resources
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
- Manage the daily activities of system configuration and operation
- Assist users in accessing and utilizing IT systems
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization
- Perform system capacity analysis and long-term planning
- Install and upgrade operating systems and software, applying patches as needed
- Troubleshoot and resolve system and hardware issues
- Support the communication of status and escalation of issues to internal stakeholders and agency leadership
Required Qualifications:
- 5 + years of experience as a System Administrator in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, or related field). Five (5) additional years of SA experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
Preferred Tools & Technologies:
- Linux system administration
- Docker, Kubernetes, vSphere, Ansible
- Familiarity with Windows environments is a plus
*Salary Range: $125,000 - $150,000*The provided salary range is an approximation based on current market data and may vary. The final offer will be determined after carefully considering the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to the position.
