Position Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Horticulture Trainer to deliver our specialized Horticulture School program to our team. This program encompasses essential industry topics, including:
- Plant naming conventions
- Sizing standards
- Packaging methods
- Plant forms and categories
- Quality grading
- Shipping procedures
The trainer will guide new team members through the curriculum, reinforcing key concepts, administering prepared assessments, and supporting hands-on learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
*We will be providing you with all relevant course material*
- Deliver structured training sessions in an engaging and practical manner
- Facilitate discussions and hands-on activities to reinforce learning
- Administer and evaluate prepared exams to assess trainee comprehension
- Provide mentorship and support to trainees throughout the program
Qualifications:
- Background in horticulture or green industry experience
- Passion for teaching and mentoring new team members
- Ability to deliver structured training confidently and engagingly
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be available to work part-time during standard business hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) to align with our employees' schedules.
- The role entails approximately 40–50 hours of training over a 2–3 week period, with an estimated commitment of 8–9 sessions annually.
