BIG is seeking a part-time talented and experienced People & Culture Generalist to oversee our London talent. Whether you’re recruiting, planning employee engagement events, managing the career development program or supporting leadership on strategic people initiatives, you’ll make an immediate impact—supported by a collaborative culture recognized globally as a Great Place to Work, this may be the role for you.If you are someone that is passionate about people & culture and thrive in a collaborative fast pace environment - we would love to hear from you.  This hybrid opportunity is a part-time 20 hour per week role with the expectation to work from home 4 days per week and spend 1 day per week in-office.Responsibilities: 

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee queries.
  • Support day-to-day people functions, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Support the performance review process by providing guidance, addressing challenges, and ensuring timelines are met.
  • Oversee in the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
  • Facilitate the onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization. 
  • Facilitate the offboarding process.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, generate reports, and provide data-supported recommendations to leadership teams
  • Maintain employee records and prepare documentation.
  • Engagement Initiatives: Develop and implement employee engagement programs to foster a positive workplace culture. Gather feedback and suggest improvements based on employee input.
  • Support People Projects: Collaborate with the Global P&C team on various projects, including training and development, performance management, and policy updates.
  • Communication: Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and procedures.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years experience in a HR function.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related or equivalent experience.
  • Candidates with experience in the tech or professional consulting space are preferred.
  • Strong understanding of people practices, employment law, and recruitment processes.
  • Independent worker that is experienced in high volume recruiting for tough to fill roles.
  • Advise leadership on compliance, and employee relations issues.
  • Understanding of staffing, recruiting and operations practices.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent time management, follow-through and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on customer service.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy and with quick turnaround.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google suite. 
  • CIPD Membership a plus
