The Analytical Development Scientist will contribute to the development, qualification, and technology transfer of analytical methods for testing mRNA therapeutics. The Scientist will also build and manage a high-performance team. The Analytical Development team works closely with Process Development, Formulation Development, Quality, Regulatory Affairs and Project Management teams and external business partners.
How we plan on keeping you busy:
- Rationally design and execute development and qualification experiments.
- Build and lead a team responsible for developing and qualifying analytical methods for characterization, in-process, release testing of our mRNA vaccine products.
- Author / review method development, characterization, qualification and / or validation data and documents.
- Support planning and / or execution of Drug Substance, Formulation and Drug Product testing internally and with business partners.
- Represent the Analytical Development team at internal cross-functional and external meetings.
- Assist in ensuring that the laboratory is in a state of compliance.
- Other duties as assigned
What will help you get here:
- Industry experience: minimum 6 years, with 4 or more years in a supervisory role.
- Expert knowledge of DoE / statistical design of experiments, analytical methods development, and validation.
- Well-versed in Chromatographic & Spectroscopic techniques such as, HPLC, GC, CE, UV, MS. FTIR
- MSc or PhD with a focus on Analytical Chemistry.
- Preferred – prior hands-on experience with analytical development of biologics, oligonucleotides, and lipid nanoparticles
