Your next chapter starts here! đŸȘAt Malt we believe that Ambition is the Way, so all lists of missions and responsibilities are non-exhaustive.Explore your future career  🔭Our next Payment Operations Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing payment processes at Malt. Joining our Finance team and reporting to our Group Head of Cash Operations, this role will oversee enterprise-wide cash management, ensuring efficient processing, strong controls, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities include optimizing liquidity and working capital, and supporting organizational growth.

Key responsibilities ✹


  • Oversee the effective processing of all payment transactions (bank transfers, credit cards, alternative methods) on the Payment Service Provider (PSP), ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Analyze and optimize existing payment processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, minimize errors, and prevent fraud.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant local and international payment regulations and industry standards, collaborating with legal teams as needed.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with payment service providers, negotiate contracts, and evaluate/select partners based on performance.
  • Track, analyze, and report on payment data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement, providing insights to senior management.
  • Train and develop the payment operations team, address escalated customer payment issues, and collaborate with support teams for resolution.
  • Evaluate and integrate new payment technologies to improve customer experience and maintain awareness of industry trends for necessary upgrades.

About you 🧑‍🚀


  • 5+ years of experience in a role related to payment operations, ideally within a fintech or a marketplace company.
  • Proven experience in managing and processing payment transactions, resolving payment issues, and reconciling accounts.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret payment data for improvements and familiar with relevant technologies, payment systems, and processing methods.
  • Solid understanding of payment regulations (AML-CFT, KYC-KYB) and can effectively assess and manage risks associated with payment operations.
  • Project management skills to drive payment-related initiatives 
  • Detail-Oriented and Proactive Communicator
  • Strategic and Customer-Centric Leader
  • Fully fluent French and English speaker in order to collaborate with an international Europe-wide team
