About this role
We are looking for a Business Development Sales Executive to drive sustainable growth for Prescryptive Health’s benefit management services and commercial offerings. This includes our pharmacy benefit management (PBM) solutions, carve-out drug pricing models, and integrated technology platforms such as patient engagement tools. In close collaboration with internal teams and external partners, you will strengthen Prescryptive’s position as a market innovator and trusted industry leader. Leveraging your industry experience with consultants, employers, health plans and others, you will align prospective client needs with Prescryptive Health’s offerings, consistently focused on delivering the lowest net cost for buyers and payors.
Success in this role is measured by the ability to generate new business, deepen channel relationships, and expand market recognition through a team-oriented, insight-driven strategy.
What you will do
- Collaborate cross-functionally to build and execute account strategies that drive member growth and revenue.
- Own and lead prospecting efforts with PBM targets, industry consultants, and internal teams to fill the pipeline and close deals.
- Develop smart, timing-driven account plans that align client needs with our most competitive offerings.
- Use market insight to influence our product roadmap, bringing forward real-time customer feedback to shape what we build and how we sell it.
- Take full ownership of sales forecasting, pipeline accuracy, and quarterly planning; create and present data-driven, action-oriented business reviews.
- Be the PBM market expert—leverage deep knowledge of competitors, pricing strategies, and industry trends to sharpen our positioning and pitch.
- Partner with Marketing to build sharp, effective messaging and ensure our sales tools and collateral align with what resonates in the market.
- Educate and enable the broader team with insights, updates, and tools that help close business faster and more effectively.
- Drive go-to-market alignment through quarterly/bi-annual partner meetings that review results, refine strategy, and shape next steps with leadership.
What you will bring
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in benefits-related business development or sales roles, including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity within a pharmacy benefit manager (PBM).
- Proven track record of owning and managing relationships with payors—including employers, PBMs, and health plans—ranging from 50,000 to over 1 million covered lives.
- Demonstrated success in building trusted client relationships, leading market-facing initiatives, and consistently achieving or exceeding sales goals.
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to align solutions to client needs.
- Established relationships with top consultants in the pharmacy benefits space and a history of collaborating with them to deliver results for plan sponsor clients.
- Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and writing skills.
- Must be a self-starter capable of operating independently in a high-volume, fast-paced start-up environment, with a demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities.
- Flexibility to support client and executive needs outside standard business hours and willingness to travel 25–40% of the time is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems such as Salesforce.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
- 10 years of progressive experience in benefits-related business development / sales roles.
- 5 years’ experience in leadership roles at a pharmacy benefit manager.
Ideally you will also have
- Undergraduate degree or post-graduate degree in business or health care field preferred.
What we have to offer

- Flexible time off, including 12 paid holidays
