Role Overview:
As a Senior Software Engineer at Nayya, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the user interfaces that power Nayya’s platform. This role is crucial for ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of our backend applications. As a member of the Choose engineering team, you'll collaborate closely with product and design teams to implement new features, optimize performance, and enhance user experience. While this role is primarily backend-focused, all engineers at Nayya are expected to have a strong understanding of full-stack development and be willing to work across the stack as needed.We are looking for an expert who thrives in an environment that values

Responsibilities:
- Design and build new features for our core products using Typescript and NestJS.
- Develop tooling and workflows to ensure the maintainability of our backend applications.
- Collaborate closely with product and design teams to continuously innovate on our products.
- Build and maintain backend services that scale with our rapidly growing user base.
- Maintain and monitor application performance, accessibility, and usability.
- Improve existing applications' functionality, speed, and reliability.
- Be a part of the decision-making process as it relates to scaling the company and our products.
- Provide technical expertise to promote business development efforts.
What You'll Bring:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on backend development.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- An understanding of microservices architecture, eventing, and API design.
- Strong proficiency with TypeScript, and modern, enterprise-grade backend frameworks such as NestJS, Express, Fastify, AdonisJS, and Oak.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and browser performance optimizations.
- Experience with data-fetching and caching libraries such as React Query / TanStack Query, SWR, or similar.
- Familiarity with OOP, DDD, eventing, and serverless design patterns
- Understanding of software development best practices, including version control (Git), testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an agile development environment.
- Our hybrid policy is in office Tuesday - Thursday
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Certification
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, New Relic, Sentry, etc.
- Proven ability to enhance the work of product and design teams
The salary range for New York based candidates for this role is $160,000 -$200,000. We use a location factor to adjust this range for candidates that are located outside of the geographic region of our New York office.
