Job Summary:
The Product Protection Coordinator is responsible for the smooth running of the product protection programs that Nationwide Marketing Group offers to its retailer members. The work involves heavy interaction with Third Party Administration companies that directly manage the service contracts purchased by consumers and claims filed by either consumers or the retailers that sold the service contracts.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Administrative support for members as they enroll to sell new protection plan programs.
- Claims assistance in the event of an escalation. The Coordinator of Product Protection will use contacts within the Third-Party Warranty Administrators to seek resolution to the escalation. He/she will also have a perspective on the claim based on reading notes about the claim and understanding the coverage detailed in the Terms and Conditions.
- Identify needs in key areas like training, coverage changes, and reporting.
- Ensures the Third-Party Administrators follow the business rules that are established for the program
- Monitor service levels of all programs and escalate situations that need attention
- Utilizing spreadsheets and progress trackers to monitor and report on program growth as new dealers sign-on to sell protection plans.
- Perform and compile information on competitive offerings.
- Ability to foresee challenges and risks based on current circumstances.
- Create and manage marketing initiatives to promote existing programs, announce new programs, and highlight program specials and benefits.
- Respond to member inquiries related to program coverages, processes, and operations.
- Communicate with field team to resolve dealer escalations and support requests.
- Support the Senior Director, Product Protection in organization and launch of new initiatives and projects in cooperation with Third Party Warranty Administrators.
- Manage supply and shipment of certain program materials and marketing brochures.
- Occasional travel to dealer trainings and vendor Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Assist in monthly reporting duties, such as tracking spending of the fund to cover certain claims that were denied.
Other Responsibilities include:
- Organize content and develop management reporting
- Attend each Primetime event, and coordinate with vendors to secure attendance and booth fees.
Qualifications:
- Preferred is a bachelor’s degree in business, business administration, or related area of study.
- 2-3 years of industry related experience, preferably in a customer facing support role.
- Demonstrated leadership in a prior role.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment requiring new process creation, process improvement, task prioritization and strong project management.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite.

Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas. While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of workstation and other office equipment. Frequent typing, writing, bending, and twisting. This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
