THE OPPORTUNITY:We are seeking a dynamic Operations Project Manager to lead critical projects and drive process improvements across our organization. This role will spearhead key initiatives focused on implementing lean methodologies, optimizing workflows, and supporting new lines of business, while providing strong project leadership throughout the project lifecycle. The position requires direct oversight of multiple concurrent projects, including resource allocation, timeline management, and deliverable tracking, while ensuring seamless collaboration between departments and external partners.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project leadership, operational transformation, logistics optimization, and building high-performing cross-functional teams to achieve measurable business results.This is a full-time salary (exempt) position, with a pay range of $85-100k a year depending on experience. Standard hours are M-F 7:30AM - 5PM, with additional hours as business needs require. 100% in office in Mesa, AZ.THE DAY TO DAY:
- Lead and manage multiple concurrent operational and business improvement projects from identification through completion
- Develop comprehensive project plans including scope definitions, work breakdown structures, timelines, resource allocation, and budget forecasts
- Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies while ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget
- Conduct regular project status meetings and provide clear, concise updates to leadership and stakeholders
- Manage client-facing projects, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and timeline commitments
- Lead cross-functional teams through change management processes to ensure successful adoption of new workflows
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments to align project objectives with business goals
- Partner with external vendors, clients, and third-party project managers to ensure seamless project delivery and integration
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean principles to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization
- Analyze existing workflows and processes to identify bottlenecks and implement streamlined solutions across production, logistics, and processing operations
- Support new business line strategies, from concept through implementation
- Create and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials
- Design and implement performance metrics to track project success and ROI of improvement initiatives
THE VITALS:
- 5+ years of experience in project management
- Demonstrated success implementing lean methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks
- Experience in logistics, production environments, and/or supply chain operations
- Strong track record of managing cross-functional projects and stakeholder relationships
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data insights into actionable improvements
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills for effectively engaging stakeholders at all levels
- Experience managing client relationships and external partnerships
- Adaptability and resourcefulness in fast-paced environments with changing priorities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials
- Experience in ITAD, electronics recycling, or asset management industries
- Experience supporting the development and launch of new business lines or services
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Proficiency with project management and workflow tools (MS Project, Asana, Trello, etc.)
- Experience with ERP systems and operations management software
- Strong data analysis capabilities and proficiency with reporting tools
- Advanced Microsoft Office and Google Suite skills, particularly Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis and Google Slides/Powerpoint for presentations
- Knowledge of process mapping and workflow design tools
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- The ability to speak/read English fluently
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- The ability to pass a drug test
- The ability to pass a background screening with no prior convictions related to theft or cybercriminal activity in the past 7 years
