Summary:
The position requires that the candidate work in a variety of capacities due to the entrepreneurial and opportunistic nature of the firm. The primary role will be focused on providing analytical, quantitative and operational support for the Affordable Housing Division.
Essential functions:
- Work closely with the Director of Development & Acquisitions to oversee all facets of ground-up development including feasibility, contract due diligence, preconstruction development, construction, and stabilization.
- Proactively manage project progress by tracking, organizing and completing annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly milestones using Excel checklists and MS Project 2017.
- Support property due diligence by soliciting, bidding, managing and carefully reviewing third-party reports.
- Contribute significantly to delivering entitlements such as land use acceptance, zoning, plan approval, easements, and permits.
- Assist in project design, including assembling design teams through RFP and negotiation, clearly communicating project expectations, and facilitating design review and feedback.
- Promote quality control and cost effectiveness by thoroughly reviewing civil, architectural and interior design plans and specifications.
- Collaborate with development, construction and operations team members, legal counsel, and strategic partners to implement and enhance best practices.
Education and Experience Requirement(s):
- 2-3 years of Real Estate Development, or Construction experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate Development, Construction, Engineering or related field
- Master’s degree in Real Estate Development will be plus.
Knowledge/Skills Requirement(s):
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-task environment, balancing competing priorities and multiple project assignments.
- Strong capacity to execute autonomously and as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s Degree with strong financial and business acumen.
- Progressive experience in real estate development, acquisitions, brokerage, construction management, planning or finance.
