Purpose


:


The Senior Operational Risk Analyst is responsible for supporting the OperationalRisk Management GrouptoensuretheBank’soperationalriskmanagement program withinthe Bank adequately identifies, assesses,measures, monitors,andreportsoperationalrisksenterprisewide. TheSenior Operational Risk Analystwill interact with process owners acrossthe Bank tounderstandbusinessprocessesandtherisk and control environment and identify process improvements. TheSenior Operational Risk Analystwill assist in thepreparation,analysis,andreportingofinformationtomanagement and the Bank’s Board ofDirectors.The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by persons assigned to the job.

Specific Responsibilities


:


  • Provides support to the Associate Director of Operational Risk withimplementingaspectsof theoperationalriskmanagementframework.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders in the identification of risks through risk assessments and measuring the risks utilizing the risk rating methodology. 
  • Performs root cause analysis, (moved up/combined) monitors and follows up on the operational risk events submitted by management to ensure corrective actions occurred.
  • Prepares and analyzes data and trends of operational risk events and metrics.
  • Assistsinmonitoring the implementationofactionplansidentifiedfrom management self-reported issues and risk assessments.
  • Completes a review of metrics for the Bank’s Risk Appetite and Enterprise Risk Management Policy.
  • Assists the maintenance and reporting of the Operational Risk Model documentation on an ongoing basis.
  • Prepares operational risk reports for the Bank’s Risk Committee and the Board Risk Oversight Committee.

Position Requirements


:


  • Bachelor'sdegree, Master'sdegree a plus, alongwith a minimum of 5 years'ofoperationalrisk, compliance, or audit experience,in a financialservicesenvironment. Certifications related to operational risk or process management is a plus.
  • Detail-orientedandability to assumecomplexassignments.
  • Highdegreeofinitiative,strong analyticalskills,excellentoral and writtencommunication skills, and the ability to interacteffectivelywithmanagement.
  • Ability to beadaptableand flexiblewhileresponding to deadlinesonassignmentsandworkflowfluctuations.
  • Ability to handle a variety ofprojectssimultaneously.
  • Mustnothavebeenconvictedonanycivilorcriminalchargethatwouldsuggest a risk to Banksecurity.
  • Ability to workfull-time.
  • Ability to uphold and model the Bank’s Guiding Principles.

Hiring Range: $91,000 - $107,000Hiring ranges reflect the base salary that the Bank reasonably expects to pay for a given role and is not inclusive of annual incentive award opportunities, retirement benefits or the value of other health and welfare or other ancillary benefits. We consider many factors when determining base salaries such as individual background and experience, the competitive environment, education, particular skill set(s), and industry and institutional knowledge.
