Senior Corporate Communications Associate

The Senior Corporate Communications Associate supports the messaging and communication efforts of the Bank, including, but not limited to, social media, publications, public website and intranet management, brand messaging and awareness, media relations and other support programs for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis. This role works with the SVP, MPP and Corporate Communications to identify opportunities and create communication strategies related to those opportunities and priorities and works collaboratively with the Corporate Communications team on executing those strategies. In addition, this role works directly with Bank leadership to support the Bank’s efforts to promote and communicate essential information to staff, members, community partners and others. The best candidate for this role will have strong attention to detail, be creative and be an organized multi-tasker.

Specific Responsibilities


:


  • Identify and recommend communication strategies and campaigns supporting the Bank’s communication priorities.
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of communication plans and other campaigns to support the internal and external communications functions.
  • Create, manage and monitor content for social media including LinkedIn, X and Instagram.
  • Evaluate social media platforms for applicability and opportunity in expanding the messaging reach of the FHLBank Indianapolis. Similarly, evaluate usefulness of approved social media platforms to determine fit of these platforms in current messaging strategies.
  • Support messaging for the President/CEO, as well as other members of senior management, including, but not limited to, presentations and prepared remarks.
  • Create and monitor content for digital and print platforms including website, intranet, media releases, fact sheets, brochures and other material.
  • Provide direction and creative design for staff communications, marketing and special events collateral.
  • Ensure all brand standards are executed across digital and print materials and serve as a staff resource for all issues related to brand use.
  • Support collaborative System-wide efforts related to messaging and development of reports used to help tell the story of the FHLB System.
  • Explore opportunities to create more analytics around Bank messaging and external facing campaigns utilizing Google Analytics, Sprout Social reporting, etc.
  • Support the content management of internal and external websites as well as SEO enhancements for the public website.
  • Assist the communications needs of other departments as appropriate.
  • Provide general editing and proofreading as needed.
  • Serve on assigned committees, providing staff support as requested.
  • Contribute to Bank culture efforts by maintaining positive, supportive and flexible working relationships with staff and volunteers in the support of the Bank’s mission.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Technical qualifications/skills:

  • Four-year college degree, preferably in communications or business administration.
  • Demonstrable capabilities in copy editing and proofreading.
  • Detailed-oriented, excellent planning and organizational skills, including the ability to anticipate tasks, set priorities and meet deadlines; self-motivated.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity working with:
  • Adobe Indesign
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Canva
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in photography and graphic design preferred.
  • Ability to work full-time.
  • Ability to uphold and model the Bank’s Guiding Principles.
