Position Description:


The Enterprise Director of Supply Chain will lead the organization’s end-to-end supply chain operations in the electronic manufacturing industry. Be responsible for sourcing, selecting and monitoring Contract Manufacturers (CMs) and developing business partners to meet program and product strategy objectives. This includes overseeing sourcing, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, inventory management, and distribution. The role will focus on identifying CM partners with the capabilities and capacity to meet Program Demand and driving efficiency, cost optimization, ensuring timely product delivery, and maintaining high-quality standards.

As a strategic leader, the Corporate Director of Supply Chain will work closely with cross-functional teams, Business Units, Design Engineers Products team, and key stakeholders to align supply chain strategies with corporate goals.

Responsibilities: 


1.Leadership & Strategy:

  • Lead and develop the supply chain effort to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Define and implement short-term and long-term supply chain strategies to drive operational excellence and support business growth.
  • Serve as a key advisor to the Products team, providing insights and recommendations on supply chain performance, risk management, and cost-saving initiatives.

2.Supply Chain Optimization:

  • Identify Electronic Assembly CM business partners and manage the end-to-end process and deliverables 
  • Ensure proper inventory management and accurate forecasting to meet production and customer demands.
  • Drive innovation and implement new technologies to enhance supply chain automation and data analytics.

3.Vendor & Supplier Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Business Partners CM houses, key suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics partners.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms, pricing, and lead times.
  • Ensure high standards of supplier performance and compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.

4.Risk Management:

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks within the supply chain, including supply disruptions, quality issues, and market fluctuations.
  • Develop contingency plans for critical materials, production timelines, and supply chain interruptions.

5.Cost Control & Budgeting:

  • Manage the supply chain budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to meet operational needs.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reductions and process improvements across the supply chain.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain performance, including Adherence to schedule, cost savings, on-time delivery, and inventory turnover.

6.Collaboration with Other Departments:

  • Work closely with the BD, Products Team, Programs, Production and Quality to ensure alignment between supply chain activities and customer demand.
  • Ensure seamless integration between procurement, production schedules, and distribution channels to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Support product design and development teams by providing input on CM capability and capacity, material requirements, cost considerations, and manufacturability readiness.

7.Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations, including safety, environmental, and quality standards.

  • Expertise in managing contract manufacturers for space electronics, ensuring adherence   to stringent industry standards such as IPC-2200, IPC-6010, IPC-610, and the NASA-STD-8739 series, as well as other critical aerospace and defense requirements.

Requirements:


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role within the electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in end-to-end supply chain management, including down selection of Electronic PCBA build and assembly contractors, procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution.
  • Strong background in vendor management, contract negotiations, and supplier relations.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
  • Expertise in supply chain software and ERP systems.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of electronic board and parts procurement for space industry COTs and EEE parts, logistics, and customs regulations.

Preferences:


  • Master’s degree (MBA or similar) preferred.

Salary Range: $170,000 - $190,000/year
